BEGINNER PSIA INSTRUCTOR COURSE

Over the 11 week course the SAS coaches will take you from your first tentative steps on skis as a complete beginner to ski confidently and tackle terrain you wouldn't have thought possible. We will work on your personal skiing, allowing you to gain skills in steeps, bumps, piste performance, freestyle and off piste.  

The 11 week course will include: 

·      PSIA Level 1 Trainee Course

·      PSIA Level 1 (if applicable)

·      Personal Ski Development

·      Professional Teaching Development

·      Professional Knowledge

·      Winter season 2009 work opportunities as a ski instructor work with our partner ski schools (optional).

During the 11 week course the SAS coaches provide a constant personal development ski and teaching programme which covers all modules and every aspect of the PSIA Level 1 syllabus.There is also an opportunity for students to take up another language (French or German) which will prove essential when applying to any foreign ski schools. The beginner course will be based in Gstaad. 

Pre-selection

Students need to be 17 years and older and physically fit before applying to the Beginner course.
