WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR POSSIBLE CHALET ASSISTANTS TO JOIN OUR RESERVE LIST - TO START AFTER CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR SHOULD A VACANCY ARISE.
YSE is the Val d'Isère chalet specialist, with 21 chalets, all in Val d'Isère. Because we don't go anywhere else, we are the only company which can guarantee successful applicants a position in Val d'Isère.
We employ nearly twenty chalet assistants each winter to work alongside our chefs. Their job is absolutely everything except the actual cooking - cleaning rooms, serving meals, lighting fires, and generally looking after the guests. And often they end up helping with preparing the food as well. Quite a number return the following year to train and run their own small chalets.
Being a chalet assistant is demanding but satisfying. As well as being a proud housekeeper, keeping the chalet spotless, and a natural host/hostess, serving food, pouring wine and liaising with guests, the chalet assistant needs to be a bit of an authority on the skiing and après-skiing. So we make sure that our assistants get a lot of time for both.
Our team is probably the best in Val d'Isère - certainly the happiest. No YSE seasonaire ever goes to work for anyone else in the resort, and many come back to us for a second or third season, or even a ninth!
To ensure that we attract and keep the best staff we look after them well. Successful applicants receive:
- Transport between London and Val d'Isère at the start of your employment and end of the season
- Training in the resort
- Accommodation (some with WiFi access) and food
- A full season, full area (Val d'Isère and Tignes) ski pass
- Equipment hire (skis and poles or snowboard and boots)
- Medical and liability insurance cover, with a 'top-up' option to cover such things as possessions, equipment etc
- YSE uniform
