Crystal is seeking qualified and experienced Commis Chef to work alongside our Head and Sous Chefs within our portfolio of Club Hotels and Club Chalets.
The Commis chef's main role is to assist and follow instructions from the Head Chef to ensure the delivery of the catering needs of the property within budget.
Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Competencies:
Commis Chef's should have at least one to two years plus experience within a professional kitchen.
The candidate should hold at least levels 1 and 2 NVQ in catering & hospitality
The desire to produce high quality food
Good knowledge of health and safety/ hygiene laws HACCP and standard
Basic and or Intermediate food hygiene certificate
Basic knowledge of menu costing and budgetary control's
Previous and relevant Customer Service & hotel experience
Understanding of the "Package Holiday" concept and the Tour Operating industry
Good time management, organisation and prioritisation skills
All chefs must maintain a hygienic and functioning kitchen in line with company and local policies to ensure customers receive a healthy and sufficient breakfast, afternoon tea, and a 3 course evening meal throughout their stay.
