PGL is the UK's leading provider of residential activity holidays and educational courses for children.
We have a vacancy for a confident French-speaker to deliver a mixture of classroom and practical language lessons at our market-leading activity centre in Normandy.
This role will give you a fantastic opportunity to build upon and perfect your language skills at our superb Chateau de Tertre centre.
As a Language Counsellor, you'll bring French to life, taking learning out of the classroom and into the local area, visiting markets and the towns and tourist attractions. Groups are set projects that help them to use their French Skills and make learning fun.
At our Château du Tertre centre in the Pays de Loire region of France we offer unique 'Language Detective' study courses that combine local excursion with Language study. Counsellors will work along side groups delivering the language courses, supervising excursions and delivering PGL activities.
Working on this popular, exciting study course will give you the chance to fine-tune your language and organisational skills. The role is also combined with that of Activity Instructor/Group leader, and you will be trained in the PGL activities on offer at the centre.
Chateau du Tertre is an impressive 19th Century chateau located in the heart of the rural Pays de Loire. The nearby village has an outdoor swimming pool, horse riding and mini-golf. The centre is equipped with various sports facilities - football pitch, basketball courts, fitness gym and on-site bar with games, which together with a staff of 34 on centre, makes for a great social atmosphere.
This role is available from August until the end of October, with the potential to return for 2010. Free food, training and uniform; accommodation provided, plus transport to the centre from a UK departure point is included together with a competitive wage.
