Main Purpose

Reporting to the Centre Activity Manager, you will be responsible for supporting them and the activity team in the day to day running of the centre.  You will ensure the safety, welfare of staff, customers and the efficient delivery of the Travel Class product to all customers. The Senior Instructor will be required to manage our activity programme and lead a team of multi trained activity instructors. Ensuring that the team are motivated, presented in line with company grooming standards and are focused on delivering excellent results throughout the operation.  You will be a key focal point of management and customer service contact for our suppliers and visiting groups prior to and throughout the operation. The activity team will act as exemplary role models and be a key point of contact for all customers throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting excellent customer service, communicating with all customers (internal and external) ensuring that expectations are exceeded and targets are achieved.
  • Developing sustainable relationships with customers (internal & external) prior to arriving on centre and throughout the operation.
  • Ensuring that Party Leader Welcome Meetings are effectively delivered throughout the operation.
  • Ensuring that all customer (internal & external) queries, enquiries, any complaint issues are dealt with in a polite, effective and in a timely manner, prior to arrival on site and throughout the operation.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Company’s Health and Safety Policy is adhered to and that excellent standards of Health and Safety are maintained on site, including accurate record keeping and report writing.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all parts of the site adhere to BAHA, LOtC, Adventuremark, BCU & AALA  standards and procedures.
  • Compliance with the Company’s child protection policy at all times.
  • Ensuring that effective activity programme timetabling is in place for all groups to maximize the experience of all customers during their stay.
  • Ensuring that all promotional material is in line with the operational presentation / display standards and that the highest standards are maintained throughout the season.
  • Pro-active quality control of all aspects of delivery and programme development in liaison with the Travel Class Operations Team.
  • Ensure the Company’s Equal Opportunity policy is being followed in all aspects of the operation.
  • Assisting in the development of all Travel Class staff ensuring that timetabled performance development reviews, observations and regular one to ones with team members are completed.
  • Coordinating onsite staff training and apprenticeship work in compliance with the Travel Class induction scheme and the activity standards and procedures.
  • Coordination and delivery of evening entertainment sessions on a rota basis
  • Assisting with operational staff movements between centres.
  • Undertake Senior duties to include overnight duties.
  • Ensuring that all activity areas on & off centre are set out as per Travel Class operational guidelines and that equipment is well maintained and presented throughout the season.
  • Responsibility of merchandise, weekly stock reconciliation and financial reporting.
  • Assist the Centre Activity Manager in all aspects of centre operations.

Role requirements

  • 21 years old or above
  • Valid driving license
  • Demonstrate an understanding of BAHA and their requirements
  • IT Literate
  • Flexibility within role and to change location as per business needs
  • Previous Supervisory experience
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Organisational skills to enable achievement of weekly deadlines and targets
  • Experience of activity sessions and delivery to high standards
  • An approachable person that is a positive forward thinking leader
  • Act as a positive role model at all times
  • Satisfactory receipt of ‘Subject Access Disclosure’ and ‘Enhanced CRB Disclosure’
