Kenya is a beautiful land beset with terrible health and social issues that require the attention of dedicated volunteers. Help out at this heart-warming project that cares for children orphaned by HIV/Aids. Situated in a tropical and agricultural region of Kenya, it provides nutrition, counselling and hospital services to a growing number of Aids orphans. You'll help provide the kids with food, education, basic health care and psychological support, offering them real hope for the future.

You will make a significant impact to the lives of these little patients. Working on this important project you will learn health care skills and how to conduct peer counselling and training. Your daily tasks will include preparing and distributing food, administrative duties and project management. In addition you will transfer any skills you have to the project staff – including science and English.

Kenya is one of the prime game-viewing areas in Africa and offers a splendid array of National Parks with a treasure being the Masai Mara deep in the Great Rift Valley. Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa, is worth the trip. It gives sustenance to the locals and recreational opportunities to tourists in the form of sport and fishing.

If you are fit and have time you should consider a Mount Kilimanjaro summit.
