This vacancy is no longer live on Season Workers, here are some similar vacancies to this one that are currently live:
Learn Spanish and teach indigenous children in rural areas of South Western Perú around the Colca Canyon. The project runs in conjunction with leaders and teachers of the communities, to assist with the education of children and adults who otherwise may not have the opportunity of a full formal education or who need educational reinforcement. GVI volunteers also assist the understaffed schools in the region. Volunteers will work with the local teacher and teach in the schools in the mornings until early afternoon, assisting children who need additional help with literacy and maths, and also giving English lessons. Other teaching activities include sports, arts and agriculture. Work in the “open classes” will take place in the afternoon. Volunteers are given food and accommodation with a local family based in the colonial town of Arequipa and transported daily to the communities. Internet access and air-port pick ups and drop offs are also supplied. Weekend adventure activities are included such as a trip to the Colca Canyon, mountain biking and horse-back riding.
