Teach and Travel China is the latest of CCUSA's worldwide travel and working programmes. There are 2 options:

1. An eight-week summer camp option, departing July.
2. A six month English teacher placement, departing January or July.

You do not need to have ANY previous teaching experience, as the program includes a TEFL course, training and qualification (6 month program only).

It is a fantastic opportunity for those who are at least 18 years old for the summer camp and 19 years old for the 6 month program who want to experience being immersed in a completely different culture.

There is NO UPPER AGE LIMIT to this program!! Teach & Travel China is a Government endorsed & supported program. You fly into Beijing and spend from 3 days to 6 weeks there preparing for your placement.

For summer camp, you spend a week in training, 3 weeks at camp, a one week break, then another 3 weeks at camp.

For the 6 month program you will spend a month completing your TEFL qualification before moving on to your school placement. You will live with other international staff in staff accommodation at the school, and meals, accommodation and Mandarin lessons are all included in the price. There is time off (during school vacations) to explore different areas of China. Why not combine a working holiday to China with a trip to the 2008 Beijing Olympics in August?? There has never been a better time to visit China!


You receive a pocket money wage of 1500 yuan (approximately £105) per month. Help is given to apply for the appropriate working visa for your trip.

To apply, you need to complete the CCUSA general application form and Teach & Travel China addendum, plus you must provide a written reference a handwritten essay, 2 passport photographs and a police background check.
