Location : Beautiful but isolated. The nearest town is Mompeo, a small village in the Rieti area, about 50 km from Rome.

Work : “Fiume Farfa” is a cooperative farm, which besides developing and carrying out its main agricultural activities, also offers community education programmes for schools on issues of environmental protection and sustainability. Work will consist of hard work in the fields, including path building in the gorge of Farfa, maintenance of the olive groves and renovation work.

Accommodation : Volunteers will sleep in a building provided with very basic facilities (electricity, hot water, washing-machine, wooden stove). Internet available (1€ per day). Only vegetarian food will be available.

Special requirements : Participants should bring a sleeping bag, warm and waterproof clothes, a warm hat, winter work boots or trekking boots (absolutely necessary) and work gloves.
