Chalet Host and Chalet Host Couple Powder White are looking for strong cooks to host and entertain our chalet guests this winter. This role is “front-line” and you will be the face of Powder White; the highest levels of standards must be achieved at all times and expectations must be exceeded. The enormity of this role is not to be underestimated... It is hard work and often long hours however there is time for enjoyment and provides the opportunity to meet new people week in week out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook and serve breakfasts, home-made afternoon tea, canapés and 4-course evening meals in accordance with the Powder White Menu Plan
- Clean all areas of the property in line with our stringent quality control guidelines and working in accordance with Level 2 Award in Food Hygiene
- Entertaining guests, being a mine of information and booking third party suppliers
- Working to detailed Health & Safety Regulations, including weekly completion of safety checks and reports
- Weekly shopping, taking responsibility for any Powder White cash held and completion of chalet accounts sheets. Attendance of weekly accounts & operations meetings.
- Offering the best possible experience for our guests, with an approach to enable you to go that extra mile on their behalf and assisting your Resort Manager and your Resort Product Coordinator with other resort aspects to also help achieve this

Key Experience Required: Excellent team participation with the ability to also work on your own ▪ Good customer service experience ▪ Good accounting & budgeting skills ▪ Computer literacy in Excel & Word ▪ Relevant cooking/chefing qualifications along with good cooking and dinner party preparation experience (NB. Regrettably we are unable to employ anyone who has only completed a 1 or 2 week cookery course without showing really strong and prolonged relevant practical experience) ▪ Excellent organisational skills and drive to achieve superb results, to excel and to exceed expectations ▪ EU passport and current National Insurance number.
