Ski Amis are a family run business which has been operating in the French Alps since 1989. Job description:

This role involves managing and motivating the team of our large chalet to provide the high quality service we boast of to our guests from the beginning to the end of their holiday.

As the supervisor of our 28 bed chalet in La Tania, you will be required to work as part of the team in the tasks of a chalet host which include the preparation and serving of meals as well as undertaking daily cleaning of the chalet and generally assisting guests with any requirement they may have during their holiday.  On change over days you will be required to turn around the chalet from the previous to the coming weeks guests – changing linen, fully cleaning all rooms and welcoming new guests.

As supervisor, you will need to coordinate the work of others to ensure workloads are even and everyone works as a team to achieve the high quality of service we demand.  You will also be responsible for the general chalet administration tasks such as managing the mini bar, stock takes and petty cash as well as going shopping once a week. 

From the perspective of the clients, you will be their main focal point by dealing with queries as well as referring any complaints to the appropriate management, whether it is the directors or the resort manager.  You will also be required to deputise for the resort manager and as required deal with the arrivals and resort services for both catered and self catered guests.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven previous team leader or supervisory experience
  • Excellent people management, team building and social skills – the ability to lead by example and deal with the general public
  • Previous experience of catered chalets as a host or a guest or experience of dinner parties
  • Problem solving skills – the ability to assertively deal with any client queries whilst still maintaining a high and professional customer service level
  • Good administrative skills
  • A team player who is tolerant of other people and able to live and work together in a close knit environment
  • Excellent standards of cleaning and hygiene

Eligibility

All applicants must be in possession of an EU passport or work permit for the UK and an EXISTING permanent UK national insurance number. Due to motor insurance requirements, only applicants over 21 years of age will be considered – there is no maximum age limit.
