Key Duties:
- Food prep
- Preparation and serving of meals
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas. Includes potwash.
- Cook to a given budget / menu plan
- Plan and execute menus with catering supervisors
- Preparation of picnic/packed lunches
Points to note:
Our team of cooks are talented individuals with a good grasp of kitchen skills, including knife skills. Food is simple and prepared fresh daily to an exceptionally high standard. You will report to a catering supervisor. There is scope for promotion and pay increase upon demonstrating relevant skills; roles as Head Cook, Lunch Co-ordinator and certain Catering Supervisor positions are available to suitable individuals.
Personal requirements / characteristics:
Camp Suisse is looking for friendly, well-motivated individuals who are passionate about cooking. You must be familiar with the kitchen environment and capable of working on your own initiative in an organised and efficient manner.We are looking for good team players who are easy going and able to work with a range of individuals. A good knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene is essential, as is experience in the catering and food service industry. You will report to a catering supervisor but would be expected to be confident in taking control of the kitchen in their absence.
