Canvas Holidays Staff Reunion

Monday 06 December 2010

Added by: Canvas Holidays

The Reunion this year went with a bang and was a great event, it was also a lot less hectic than last year in terms of the planning. We chose to host the event at the Ramada Sutton Coldfield again and they looked after us very well. We got a great response from couriers this year with around 140 people attending which was up from last years 120. We had more warehouse personnel, in2action, maintenance teams and area managers which indicated that we had a high level of staff engagement across all areas this year. Everyone gathered in the afternoon to socialise, catch up with friends and have a beer (or two). Everyone also received a few gifts as part of their package. In the evening we hosted welcome drinks followed by an update on our customer service performance by Simon Allan (MD) followed by a presentation on this years fund raising events by Isabell Sinclair (Contact Centre Manager). After this we tucked into a buffet and then came the main event of the evening – the Orange Awards. We were delighted to receive many great nominations this year and many of the categories were certainly very hotly contested.

The following people / teams received awards:

Achieving Results (Top Area Manager) – Andy Hogarth of Dordogne / South West

Ownership and Pride (Top Maintenance Team) – Keith and Susan Brown of Northern France / Holland

Noticeably Better (Top Couples Site) – Tony and May Fillingham from Vandanesse

Noticeably Better (Top Small Team Site) – Team Grolejac

Noticeably Better (Top Large Team Site) – Team Sirene

Excellence Everytime (Top Hoopi Courier) – Emma Wilson from Cala Gogo

Special Recognition -  Tony Glaholm from Sardina for 99.09% customer service scores

Special Recognition – Andy Hackney, Lynette Johnson and David Field for their efforts during the St Aygulf flooding.

After the awards the disco got started which was enjoyed by young and old and everyone took to the dance floor until the early hours where many people retired to the lounge bar. This is a tradition that will continue for many years to come!

It was a great end to the season for many and a fantastic well to celebrate the operational customer service achievements both globally and for specific individuals.
