The Company
Ski Famille is an independently owned specialist in family ski holidays in the French Alps. We are regularly cited by the press as experts in our field and enjoy high levels of return guests and staff.
The Role
This is an ideal position for someone with previous supervisory experience in the catering/hospitality industry who is now looking to move into a more senior role.
Your key responsibilities will be:-
- Overall quality and cleanliness of all resort chalets
- Monitoring the presentation of the menus
- Mentoring any staff that are struggling to achieve our high standards
- Have an eye for detail
- Place weekly orders with local suppliers
- Ensure that the chalets are within their weekly food budgets
- Ensure that all chalets meet with Company Health & Safety standards at all times
The Chalet Manager will be key to ensuring all chalets are running smoothly and clients are receiving the best service possible. You will assist the Resort Manager in the running of the chalets, to ensure a seamless end product. At times the position will be hands on due to illness or injury, so you need to be prepared or able to fill in for any of our chalet staff.
The Person
You will have a proven track record of working within the catering or hospitality environment and will need to be independent, approachable and have a pro-active attitude. You will have good customer service experience and although not essential, it would be an advantage to have extensive chalet/tour operator experience.
You will be a strong team player, who strives to achieve the highest standards, you will be highly organised with attention to detail as a high priority, you need to be adaptable with good catering skills, ideally having previous experience of working overseas as a chalet host or chef.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Full Clean Driving Licence be aged over 23 for insurance reasons
- UK National Insurance Number & UK Bank Account
- UK Passport
- Good Working Knowledge of French
- Previous hospitality experience
- Previous travel industry experience ideally in the ski industry
- Previous Catering Experience
