COME AND JOIN OUR TEAM!

Are you looking for a resort job out in the French Alps?  Our company ethos is ‘work hard, play hard’, and if you think this sounds like it could be you then we have a number of vacancies for next season within the resorts we operate for chalet couples.

Ski Amis are a family run business which has been operating in the French Alps since 1989. We have grown a lot during this time, which means each year our team of staff gets a little bigger but we still try to maintain the family feeling and to do our best to make sure everyone has a great time during their season with us.

Our quality demands are high – we expect a caring attitude from our team because at the end of the day, the job is to make sure our clients have the best ski holiday ever and come back again and again with us. However, we do look after our staff and make sure you have plenty of free ski time, a good package and nice accommodation to give you the best possible time for your season.

Our chalets are in the French Alps in a number of good quality resorts in the Three Valleys and Paradiski areas. Our team is selected on their personalities and dedication to quality – if you’re just looking to ski and party for the season and do the minimum you need to get by, then go and look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you want to get some job satisfaction, happy clients, good tips, good accommodation and a good crowd to work with as well as getting plenty of free skiing time, then you’ve come to the right place.

Job Description

For this role, there are two components involved – chalet hosting and driving and it would suit a couple where one person likes to be more focussed on the domestic task of running the chalet and the other likes to be out and about.

The chalet hosting part of the role will involve preparing and serving meals to the clients - essentially hosting a dinner party every night.  Daily cleaning of the chalet, for example, making beds, cleaning rooms and the general living areas, and the weekly turnaround of the chalet as well as doing the laundry – for which we provide professional equipment.  Completing basic chalet administration tasks which include the stock take and the mini bar, as well as maintaining the hot tubs and saunas (where appropriate) and general basic household maintenance.

The other half of the role is a varied one and includes transfer driving on changeover days to collect and deliver guest from airports and railway stations and transport them to their accommodation – we provide training in winter driving and you will be provided with a French professional drivers’s licence (subject to a medical).  During the week, you will work in the chalet with your partner and also support the Resort Manager with whatever tasks need to be completed – including in-resort transfers of guests to ski schools and restaurants, assisting with chalet cover for days off in other chalets, general maintenance and snow clearing.

  • Excellent social skills to deal with the general public and a variety of people including children

  • Medical and accident insurance
  • Paid holiday based on 20 days per annum pro-rota plus bank holidays
