Gone are the days when a Youth Hostel was the only option for students looking for cheap and basic accommodation. Now we are a thriving organisation, with some 200 Youth Hostels across England and Wales.

As a General Assistant with us, you’ll be the public face of YHA. These are great roles for people looking for something really different, great fun and very practical. From meeting and greeting guests, cleaning, cooking and generally making everyone’s stay something great to remember – you’ll find no two days are the same. And, what’s more, as a General Assistant, you could find yourself based in fantastic locations in towns, cities and the best countryside of England and Wales to enjoy the sights, culture or outdoor activities. But, it’s not for everyone; some days can be long and unpredictable. It’s all about team work, mucking in and working hard.
