We currently have a Head Chef vacancy at our PGL Lou Valagran centre situated on the banks of the River Ceze in the Ardeche region of Southern France.
Our Head Chefs are responsible for the overall on-site catering provision of their centre, ensuring that the catering team are producing nutritional, varied, balanced and tasty meals.
We're looking for applicants with previous supervisory experience in a catering environment, as staff management forms a significant element of this role.
This role provides excellent scope for professional development for trained chefs, cooks or caterers.
Ideal candidates will be unfazed by creating child-friendly, wholesome, home-prepared meals for our guests and staff, using as many fresh ingredients as possible, while keeping within budgetary guidelines.
This is an exciting position that offers you the chance to build on your experiences and take charge of your own kitchen and team of staff.
We offer the nationally-recognised Apprenticeship programme in Hospitality for suitable applicants, helping you to gain a qualification ' on the job'.
PGL Lou Valagran is in the outdoor enthusiast's playground of Southern France, with the local area boasting a variety of activities from canoeing and kayaking to mountain biking and canyoning. The centre has its own private riverside beach with the nearest village a walk through local vineyards, with plenty of cafes for that quintessential French experience!
The centre accommodates up to 150 guests each week at the height of the season and employs a dynamic staff team of 40 who live and work at the site.
