Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm

England  England flag

Cholderton is a fantastic family run farm centre. Being one of JCA's smallest centres it has a real homely and family feel to it.

Cholderton has an on-site shop, restaurant and youth hostel which has wireless internet available for staff use when not being used by our schools groups.

The centre offers a wide variety of Activities such as Climbing, Abseiling, Archery and Initiative excercises and but is a great centre for both Survival and Nature sessions with its woodland areas, groups can even choose to stay in teepees instead of the fantastic recently refurbished hostel . Usually the children that come to this centre can be of a younger age (between 10 -14) and we like to incorporate the farm into their stay sometimes hosting tractor ride or taking them to watch the pig races.

Generally Cholderton is a Monday - Friday centre meaning we have no school groups over the weekend, so weekends can either be spent on site in the caravan style accomodation or there is much to do in the local area with stonehenge ebing located near by and shopping towns such as Salisbury or Gloucester.

Cholderton is an inspiring rural retreat where young people can enjoy the outdoors, meet and handle some beautiful animals and learn all about rare breeds of farm animal
