As a Head Chef, you'll ensure that the catering team are producing nutritional, varied, balanced and tasty meals.
Our young guests spend their days climbing, kayaking, quadbiking and orienteering, building up a healthy appetite!
We're looking for a Head Chef to oversee the catering preparation at our hotel Le Pre Catelan, located just ten minutes from the beach-side resort of Hardelot Plage and a hours' drive from Calais.
PGL is the UK's leading provider of residential activity holidays and educational courses for young people. Le Pre Catelan is one of our smaller centers, playing host to a maximum of 90 children at the height of the season.
Meal times form an important aspect of our guest experience so we're looking for a competent Head Chef to lead our small team of Catering Assistants to ensure our catering provision exceeds our guests' expectations.
The successful applicant will develop the venue's meal provision, ensuring quality meals are produced within budget, to the best of the team's ability and using as much fresh produce as possible.
This vacancy is offered as a fixed-term contract until October 31 2010. As well as a competitive wage, you'll receive transport from a UK departure point, free uniform, with accommodation available.
Working as a PGL Head Chef, you'll have the opportunity to live and work in a unique environment, develop your all round catering, budgeting and staff management skills, whilst working in a friendly staff team.
You'll also find sociable working hours at our centres, due to the nature of catering for our young guests, with time to enjoy the evening with other staff members.
