Main duties and responsibilities:

Flotilla

• Kids first morning, safety & some daily briefings.
• Yacht preparation kids packs, on change over day.
• Safety of all kids, fitting of lifejackets & harnesses.
• Knowledge of local areas to arrange shore bases games in port.
• Sailing knowledge / skills, teaching clinics for different ages on shore.
• Keeping suitable ‘Toys & Games’ on the lead yacht & preparing treasurehunts, quizzes, activates in advance.
• Games / activities on turnaround days for kids before they depart.
• Socialising with guests.
• Organising group meals, BBQ’s & punch parties, with special arrangementsfor the children.
• Helping with the General running of the Flotilla.
• Any other duties as directed by the Base Manager

General

• Completing turnaround, assisting skipper, engineer and host
• Welfare of the children’s safety and health, and the organisation ofactivities

Working conditions:

Main duties will centre around the yachts, the base and ports of call. Working hoursvary and you MUST be flexible to operational requirements.

Your performance will be monitored throughout the season, direct through clientfeedback (mainly through weekly questionnaires) and you will be given formal andinformal appraisals given by your Base Managers.

Requirements:

• Sailing experience and knowledge
• 2 years customer service
• Experience working with children between 5 - 17
• Experience organising activities for kids between5 – 17
• Valid Basic First Aid Certificate
