WHY BASE CAMP?

• 30 hours coaching per week including backcountry, freestyle and race coaching (including 50% more BASI coaching than BASI offers!)
• Class sizes average no more than 8 and are usually less (BASI offer 10)
• French & British coaching experiencing both cultures (maximising performance development) - Base Camp is a BASI Associate Business Partner
• Course numbers allow classes of skiers/snowboarders of similar ability
• Accommodation just off the main square in Meribel (not half an hour walk out of town)
• Option to upgrade your accommodation to 3 people per apartment
• Full season's ski pass for the Three Valleys ski area
• French lessons and other activities after skiing (not during the day)
• Choose between going for your BASI Instructor Level 2 or joining our Personal Development Programme

Meribel is located in the heart of the Three Valleys ski area which encompasses more than 11 ski resorts and over 2000 metres of vertical. Just 2 and a half hours from Geneva, Meribel is a hugely popular tourist destination - it’s a busy and lively town, renowned for its traditional charm and great atmosphere. With over 60 bars, cafes and restaurants as well as 2 nightclubs, the nightlife in Meribel is renowned throughout the Alps. Live music is big in Meribel and over the past few years it has steadily established itself as a centre for gigs and bands in the Alps. More info..

Pierre Francois Papet founded Snow-Systems Ski School after spending 10 years in the French Downhill Development Ski Team. Snow-Systems instructors are employed not only for their ability to ski and snowboard, but for their ability to listen, to communicate, and be professional.

Based in Courchevel, RTM was founded by a team of British snowboard instructors who collectively have over 50 seasons experience. All qualified to the highest BASI standards, Rob and Mark have French instructor equivalents and off-piste guiding qualifications. More info..

Dave Morris is a BASI Level 1, BASI examiner, and coach of the English Racing Team. Dave is perfectly qualified to make sure you prepare well for your exams and have the best chance of passing.
