We are recruiting for a chalet couple (or 2 friends who have already worked together in this role). We need one person who is an experienced cook or chef, and one person to fill the role of host / housekeeper. Good recent references are important to us. Applicants must preferably be aged at least 25, speak English fluently and have an EU passport. If you can also speak French, have a clean driving license and are non-smoking, your application would get preference.Chalet duties will involve: rising early 6 days a week! - preparing and serving breakfast; daily room tidying and bathroom / WC / public area cleaning, preparing & laying ready afternoon tea; prep, cooking and serving of 3-course dinner with wine & coffee.  We offer children's supper when there are children or infants staying, and separate dishes for vegetarians when appropriate. This is a daily routine with one day off mid-week.  On Saturdays (usual changeover day) there is also thorough changeover cleaning and laundry runs.  There will also be shopping (and / or phone ordering), taking deliveries, and menu-planning responsibilities, in conjunction with ourselves (we manage the accounting and run the company in Morzine).  We employ a part-time cleaner to help with room cleaning 4 days a week.

Our chalet staff benefit from a good package including: competitive salary, travel to resort and back, centrally located good-quality accommodation (not in the chalet where you'll be working - very important!), area ski pass, ski and boot hire. There is time to ski every day and one full day off per week. Our chalet staff can benefit from free or reduced-rate ski lessons from the Ski Schools we work closely with.
