FINANCE EXECUTIVE

We are currently looking for staff to work in our overseas office in Bourg St Maurice (with easy access to the funicular up to Les Arcs and the vast Paradiski area!) during the winter season, from October 2008-May 2009. You will be working as part of a team and reporting to our Overseas Finance Manager

PRACTICAL REQUIREMENTS
The job involves working 5.5/6 days a week. Standard office hours are 0800 – 1200 and 1600 – 2000 but flexibility will be required on transfer day and during busy periods.

OVERALL PURPOSE

To accurately record Skiworld income and expenditure for its European Operations. General responsibilities apply to all Finance positions and specific responsibility will then be allocated for either income or expenditure. The Overseas Finance function falls into three categories: Resort (income and expenditure) Accounts, Ski Pack Accounts and the Purchase Ledger.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General

·To control and account for ski pack and other in-resort sales.

·To reconcile all credit card payments on a weekly basis.

·To reconcile all cash banking on a weekly basis.

·To liase with and support Resort Accountants and provide training where required in relation to the Ski Pack Database.

·To produce any financial reports as required by the European General Manager.

·To ‘man’ the office phones between 08.00 – 12.00 and 16.00 – 20.00.

·To assist in the co-ordination of transfer day (will involve being based at an airport/coach/train station on a Saturday).

·To perform such other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time.
