Skiworld

An ideal position for qualified professionals looking to take a career break and do a ski season while still doing something relevant to their line of work. Skiworld are looking for highly motivated and flexible customer focused people with previous management experience, who would relish a hands-on role; taking on the responsibility of assisting our Resort Managers and overseeing resort accounts in a variety of top European ski resorts.

On the whole, this is an administrative role in our larger resorts to ensure the timely and accurate submission of all in-resort accounts, paperwork and reports, but you must also be prepared to muck in and help resolve operational issues within resort if needed throughout the season.

Duties include: managing and correctly accounting for the monies received through sales of ski packs and après-ski events in resort; distributing chalet budget money and overseeing chalet accounts; checking and paying invoices in resort; liaising with local suppliers and with the finance team in Bourg. However the role is also client-facing and could involve assisting in the organisation and execution of weekly changeover days, and/or with ski leading programmes. The Resort Accountant may also take some responsibility for helping the Resort Manager to oversee in-resort operations, and for managing motivating and inspiring the resort team.

Above all else, there is a responsibility to ensure that the highest standards of customer service are met, maintained and exceeded at all times, and to ensure that our guests have a fantastic Skiworld holiday experience.

The role is 6 days a week, however our Resort Accountants may be required to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies.

Previous accounting experience essential; the ability to converse in German for St Anton and French for all other resorts desirable; highly customer-focused, previous direct customer service experience essential; proven staff management skills; the ability to take responsibility, solve problems effectively and use own initiative; proven organisational and administrative experience; computer literacy (Word, Excel, email and Internet)+ a full, clean driving licence.

Previous ski season experience an advantage.

NB: All applicants for European positions must have a permanent National Insurance number, a UK or EU passport, a UK contact address and a UK bank account.
