Resort Managers

Powder White

This is probably the most challening and demanding of the posts we have available, but it promises to offer a most rewarding experience. Our Resort Managers hold total responsibility within their resort. The role is very diverse and will include everything from staff management to stock-control or from guest welfare to chalet maintenance. It is a non-stop role and requires total commitment and pro-activity.

What the position involves:

1. Ensuring that our guests are receiving the highest standards of service
2. Managing and overseeing the resort team which will consist of Chalet Mangers, Chalet Cleaners and Drivers/Handymen
3. Maximising communications between resort and the London office to ensure the smooth-running of your resort
4. Heading up and working as part of a small, focused resort team
5. Maintaining and developing supplier relations in resort ensuring all guests receive correct ski packs as ordered
6. Overseeing arrivals & departures on changeover day
7. Developing and maintaining relationships with guests from week to week through regular chalet visits
8. Holding weekly resort meetings for your team of staff
9. Completing all paperwork efficiently and accurately including weekly accounts returns 10. Ensuring that all members of your team are carrying out their roles with efficiency and to the high Powder White standards
11. Taking responsibility for all Powder White monies held in resort
12. Overseeing regular stock-takes of food goods, chalet suppliers, linen and wine
13. Ensuring the maintenance of resort vehicles where applicable
14. Overseeing any maintenance issues and ensuring the correct care of all Powder White property including staff accommodation.

Successful applicants will need to be personable with an outgoing personality, have ability to act under pressure & keep a clear head, be a good team player with ability to lead by example and have excellent guest relations and interperesonal skills. You will need to be hard-working with a self-motivating work ethic, be pro-active with good communication skills and have excellent numerical, administrative and organisational skills.

All applicants must have an EU passport and have previous hospitality experience. Relevant customer service experience preferably in the travel industry is preferred along with previous team management experience. You will need to be good at accounting and budgeting, be computer literate (Word & Excel), preferably educated to degree level and fluency in French is preferred. You will also need a full, clean driving licence.
