Would you like to work in a beautiful chalet in the French Alps, with every afternoon free to carve up the slopes?
We are looking to recruit 1 couple or 2 friends to run our flagship Brown Bear Lodge (sleeps on average 14-16 guests and is run by a couple with the additional help of a ski guide/driver).
The key responsibilities include providing an exceptionally high level of service and being a warm and friendly host to guests; the day to day running of the chalet preparing and cooking high quality meals; shopping according to a budget and ensuring the chalet is kept clean and tidy on a daily basis and changing over the chalet for new arrivals.

What kind of person are we looking for?
We are ideally looking for couples who have either done a ski season hosting a chalet before and or have experience working in the catering industry and who have a genuine love and interest in food & flair for cooking. As there are only 7 weeks left in the season, candidates must have a proven track record in catering as you will need to learn the menu quickly and training will be "on the job" as it were with help from us in resort.
Experience in the hospitality industry is a must as are good organisational skills, a zest for life and an outgoing and fun outlook! Candidates must be over 23 years for insurance reasons and hold a current driving licence.

Reach4thealps is a small private chalet company run by myself Gina and my husband Marcus. We are both very keen skiers and love the outdoors, after many years of visiting the Alps on holiday and working several seasons doing all the chalet jobs possible from head chef to head loo cleaner we decided to set up on our own. Last season was our seventh season running Reach4thealps and we now have a portfolio of five chalets. All the chalets are of a high standard but what ensures our repeat rate stays high is the level of customer service, high standard of catering we offer along with the help of our staff which is why we need to continue to have motivated, capable and happy staff. As it is our own business we take great pride in looking after our guests and ensuring they have a fantastic holiday.
