Background information on Chalets & Auberge sur la Montagne
We are a small British-run company operating an 8 bedroom, boutique chalet-hotel and a portfolio of 16 catered and self-catered chalets and apartments at Sainte Foy Tarentaise in the French Alps. (See our website www.auberge-montagne.com for more details).
Sainte Foy was recently named No 1 Ski Resort on the Planet in the Sunday Times. It is one of the top iconic off piste resorts in the world and retains its friendly village atmosphere.
We pride ourselves on our professional, yet informal and friendly service and are looking for staff to continue our excellent reputation gained over the last 15 years.
The jobs will start in early December 2011 and finish during April 2012.
For all positions, most importantly, you’ll be a team player and extremely flexible and willing. In all roles, interest in food and the ability to cook would be an advantage. You are likely to have had previous hospitality experience and certainly will be comfortable dealing with people. English is likely to be your mother tongue and some French would be a positive advantage.
You should be able and willing to work as part of a team, helping others as needed to ensure that the hotel/chalets run smoothly, and guests’ needs are fully met. You should be friendly, outgoing and physically fit.IMPORTANT: A valid working holiday VISA for FRANCE is essential for non-EU passport holders. To spell that out.......if you are Australian or a New Zealander you must already have your French Working Holiday Visa for your application to be considered. Applicants must be fluent in ENGLISH.
