Ski Amis are a family run business which has been operating in the French Alps since 1989. We have grown a lot during this time, which means each year our team of staff gets a little bigger but we still try to maintain the family feeling and to do our best to make sure everyone has a great time during their season with us.

Our chalets are in the French Alps in a number of good quality resorts in the Three Valleys and Paradiski areas. Our team is selected on their personalities and dedication to quality – if you’re just looking to ski and party for the season and do the minimum you need to get by, then go and look elsewhere. Job description:

Driving our clients to and from the airports and railway stations as required - collecting and delivering them from any of our accommodation, catered and self catered in a number of different resorts.

Ski hosting with our guests in the resort for up to three days (depending on the requirements of the clients) and covering chalets for staff day off (which would mean preparing breakfast, laying and serving afternoon tea and basic room servicing)

The role will involve moving around between different chalets depending on where the work is most needed but will be based in La Tania, La Plagne or Les Menuires.

Minimum qualifications / experience:

  • Experience of driving - preferably experience of driving in Europe, left hand drive vehicles and mini-buses or vans
  • Excellent social skills and a sense of humour - able to keep tired and fed-up guests amused while being trapped for 3 hours in the confined space of a minibus!
  • Team players - pitching in where necessary to help the rest of the chalet teams
  • Full driving licence for at least 2 years and minimum age 21 (for insurance reasons)- preferably a clean licence but will consider minor endorsements
  • Appreciation of high quality customer service
  • A very competent skiier (NOT snowboarder) with the responsiblity to provide a good social and safe hosting service to the guests

Basic Conditions

  • £375 per monthly paid in the UK
  • Season ski pass for the relevant ski area
  • Ski accident insurance and emergency medical cover
  • Ski equipment rental for the season
  • Uniform
  • Accommodation provided either in one of our chalets or an external shared studio
  • All meals provided
  • Travel to and from the UK at the beginning and end of the contract
  • One day off per week plus staggered daily duties allowing plenty of free skiing
  • Training to include providing you with a professional French drivers licence which is personal to you and valid for 5 years


ALL APPLICANTS MUST HOLD AN EXISTING UK NATIONAL INSURANCE NUMBER, BE OVER 21 AND HAVE A FULL DRIVING LICENCE, HELD FOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS (these conditions are essential due to vehicle insurance stipulations)
