Job Details
We are looking for a experienced Maintenance Officer/Gardener.
You will be responsible for maintaining French Holiday cottages, carrying out general repairs, and emergency maintenance as and when required.
You will also be required to ensure that the gardens and communal grounds of the cottages are prepared, maintained and immaculately presented. This will include: pruning, mowing lawns, hedge trimming, planting, weeding, laying turf, tree work, laying gravel, paving stones, picking up litter. Etc
Whilst we would prefer you to either be a qualified electrician or plumber, this is not essential.
LOCATION: The resort is called Valjoly, which is in located in the North of France at the edge of the Ardennes region. If you take a look at the following website: www.madamevacances.com you will be able to take a look at the cottages and gardens that you will be maintaining
START DATE:ASAP - October 2011.
HOURS:You will be required to work 5 days a week. In total you will work 39 hours a week, which equates to 169 hours a month.
PAY You will be paid £1300 gross per calendar month, which will be payable on the 15th of each month.Self catered accommodation is available on a shared room basis, at a cost of £210 per calendar month. (after tax, NI and accommodation deduction, you will receive approx £840 into your UK bank account).
TRAVEL The cost of travel to resort will be at your own cost
REQUIREMENTS You MUST meet the following requirement to be considered for the role.
1. Be available to work in France for the duration of the summer contract
2. Hold an European Passport, British National Insurance.
3. Be resident in the UK
4. Hold a valid driving license.
5. Have previous gardening/landscaping experience.
6. Have previous maintenance experience.
