Serre Chevalier piste map

Serre Chevalier is an awesome resort! It is a very southern resort in the French Alps, but with it's abundance of north facing slopes it manages to provide an ideal combination with lots of sunshine and good snow reliability. The Natural rolling southern-alp terrain of Serre Chevalier makes for some great Off Piste and overall some incredible skiing and riding.

Serre Chevalier is often the one resort in the Alps that has a very good snow year when the rest of the Alps is having a poor one! There is something for every level here but the main attraction of Serre Chevalier is it's smoothly profiled "Meditteranean mountain terrain" which is characteristic of incredible natural rolling hillside and therefore superb Freeriding and Off Piste opportunites.

Serre Chevalier has alot of well featured natural terrain that will make the skier or boarder weep for joy - and that’s just on the drive up the mountain from the airport! The scenery and profile of the mountain is quite simply staggering and will have you spotting lines and making plans from the bus!

The fact that so much of the best off piste terrain is so easy to get to from the main lift system ensures any level rider or skier can get smooth and long powder runs effortlessly. If it’s steep and deep that you are after, natural halfpipes or rollovers, banks and cornices then this place has it all! Serre Chevalier has earned the respect of many accomplished Skiers & Boarders, and enviable praises from the critics for a reason, & that’s why we felt it was high time we added it to our program

A half million Euros was reported to have been spent on the Snow Park in 2002, which means that the Freestyle element should be well catered for! The pipe is floodlit & there is a Boarder X too!

But there is great potential here for everyone, not just the accomplished Skier or Rider it is a resort that as a beginner you can get the most out of, with an abundance of gentle, safe and very well kept slopes on which to practice your turns with well connected, smooth pisted trails.

Serre Chevalier is fast becoming a very popular resort to ride and ski. Up until a few years ago it was a very "French" ski resort but thankfully now things are changing as this fantastic place with the addition of Club Med is now firmly on the map. Nightlife is consequentally improving year on year and it is still very lively with great bars & clubs close to the chalet. Last season is was great!

Serre Chevalier

Serre Chevalier is often the one resort in the Alps that has a very good snow year when the rest of the Alps is having a poor one!

Avoriaz

The nightlife is quite French and very underground, with a high proportion of seedy après ski bars and dodgy discos!

Alpe d'Huez

Like Morzine, if you want social - then this place is incredibly lively, however if you want more sophistication then it has nice cosy bars too.

Banff

Banff Town is the centre-point for this immense ski area. You can live in this fun, energetic party town whilst getting 10-15 minute shuttle ride access to Canada’s largest resort!
