The International Summer School of Scotland (ISSOS) offers high school students from all over the world (aged 13-18) the unique opportunity to combine learning, creative enrichment and action-packed adventure in the historic and picturesque towns of St Andrews and Cambridge. Every summer we welcome students from over 60 nationalities.  Students choose one academic subject and one elective as well as taking part in a wide selection of evening programs, Sunday workshops and cultural trips.

ISSOS is looking for a Head Counselor to lead a team of staff and be responsible for the safety, security and happiness of all the students in the summer school.  You will be responsible for motivating, supervising and leading a group of counselors ensuring that they are caring for the wellbeing of their students. You will also be responsible for dealing with discipline issues regarding both counselors and students.

Working with your fellow Head Counselor, you will be responsible for organizing and planning all sporting activities, evening programs and running the out of school trips. The responsibility of this position comes with plenty of challenges and an even greater number of rewards.

Full room and board is provided as well as a fixed payment.

Please note all applicants will have to pass a full criminal background check, be at least 21 years of age and be fluent English speakers.
