French-speaking Tour Organiser

PGL Travel Ltd

This vacancy is no longer live on Season Workers.

Do you enjoy organising your own holidays and think nothing of planning your travel arrangements and itinery?

We’re looking for a recent French graduate to join our team of Tour Organisers, specialising in organising school trips to destinations in Northern France.

PGL Travel Ltd is the UK’s leading provider of residential activity holidays and educational courses for young people. Based at our UK head office in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, our School Tours Team organises trips for around 900 school groups each year, travelling to key locations across Europe.

Each day will keep you on your toes and in the holiday mood as you help Party Leaders and Teachers to arrange their trip. In practise, this includes liaising with our residential centres in Normandy, Paris and on the Opal Coast, booking coaches and ferries and arranging excursions to key places of interest as the group requires.

One day you could be booking tickets to EuroDisney, finding a snail farm your group can visit or calming a flustered Party Leader over the phone.

This job suits someone who enjoys working in a social, fast-paced customer-focused environment and isn’t afraid of tight deadlines and using their initiative. Previous experience in a customer service role is preferable, together with office-based knowledge.

Your written and spoken French skills will be put to good use as you’ll be liaising regularly over the phone with hoteliers, suppliers and tourist attractions.

The office can get pretty hectic at peak times so the ability to remain cool under pressure and react to fast-changing situations calmly and diplomatically is important.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent French graduate to join a dynamic, progressive company, with plenty of opportunity for further career development and familiarisation visits to our destinations.

So, if you’re a whizz at multi-tasking, confident with IT packages, committed to customer service excellence and have a great sense of humour, we want to hear from you!

To find out more, please call Mr Kim Hampson for an informal chat on 08700 551 551 or click through to visit our webpage.

You must have the legal right to live and work in the UK to be considered for a role with us.

PGL is committed to the principle of equal opportunities.
