We are seeking an Activity Guide For Arctic Winter Northern Lights Season November to March.
Activity guide needed to lead and host snow shoeing, winter hiking, dog sled assistant, northern lights guide, snowmobile assistant and frozen lake ice fishing, boat crew for sea safaris and general hands on maintenence. Driver of 9 seat mini bus with previous snow driving experience essential.
The guide is required to have previous outdoor leadership, be a tough outdoor person, highly motivated and an out going fun loving personality. Part of the job is to receive in-house training on all activities.
Lyngen Lodge is a luxury boutique lodge hotel located in northern Norway in some of the world’s most impressive mountain and fjord scenery. The Lyngen Lodge offers discerning guests from across the world the opportunity to experience the Arctic nature first hand under the guidance of carefully selected guides.
Working week is 6 days with one day off.
Northern Norway is a beautiful land that is filled with high mountains and deep fjords. During wthe winter months November to January there is no sun in the sky. It is the Polar Night where the Northern Lights fill the sky. A successful activity guide applicant needs to consider living through the dark period for two months. The job contract is just over 4 months long and expect long tough days that will be challenging mentally and physically.
You need to be:
24 years or over.
Fluent English speaker
Drivers license B with previous snow driving experience.
Accommodation is a private bedroom in shared staff accommodation. Monthly wage and medical insurance.
