OLD Resort Chef/Cook

Job Details

To provide our clients with the Swiss Cook service by preparing and delivering home cooked meals to order. The ‘Swiss Cook’ concept supplies luxury food to our clients staying in self catering chalets/apartments.

  • Preparing  home cooked meals following the Swiss cook menu
  • Stock taking of all food and wine
  • Understanding and catering for clients’ dietary requirements
  • Ensuring a high level of Health and Safety is adhered to
  • Planning and shopping for your weekly menu
  • Shopping on request for Powder Byrne clients
  • Managing budgets and cash flow
  • Maintain and updating the Swiss Cook database
  • Delivering and exceeding client expectations
  • Assist team with Driving in resort and shuttles
  • Assisting the Powder Byrne resort team with transfers
  • Liaising with London Operations to keep informed of any issues/discrepancies
  • Cooking for the resort team during the busy peak week season.
  • Representing Powder Byrne


  • Previous experience as a chef or extensive catering experience
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience
  • Understanding of high quality customer service
  • Full clean driving license (must be over 21)
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Approachable and enjoy striving to exceed customer’s expectations
  • Excellent social and communication skills
  • Excellent all round Team Player
  • Enthusiastic positive manner
  • Food hygiene level 2 (or willing to complete)
  • Ability to work as a private chef if required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised and in a team 


  • Food Hygiene level 2
  • Experience of working in a professional kitchen
  • Previous chalet/hotel or ski resort work
  • Recognised cookery school course
  • Competent use of Excel and word
  • Conversational German
