Job Description:

Reporting to the Area Manager, as an Activities Kids Club Manager you will ensure the overall smooth running of the Children’s and Teens’ Activity program within our Summer Alps Programme. As the Activities Manager you will manage & support six “Activity Leader” staff members and will oversee the safe and effective delivery of the Marmottes, (4–7), Wolverines (8-12) and “Teens” Activity programmes. You will ensure that our children and teen activity programmes are “Active” focused, exciting, fun and age appropriate. With a sports and adventure activities focus, you will create an environment where all children are being made to feel comfortable in their surroundings and enjoy their holiday. You will guide your Activity Kids Club team, making sure that all activities on offer are age appropriate and suited to parents for our Family Fun Days. You will manage your team and the activity programme schedule, guaranteeing your team are offering an excellent customer experience, building relationships with the parents & children alike. You will also resolve guest queries in a timely and efficient manner. You will ensure all Activity staff maintain and complete all Fire / Health and Safety, Risk Assessments, Registration (booking children and teens in and out of the Activity programme), logging all care requirements such as dietary and allergy as well as all other administrative tasks, accurately and to deadline. This role will require previous experience of managing (including conduct and performance issues) of a team, of sports coach / adventure, activity staff.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Customer Focus

  • Interacting with all guests in a professional yet relaxed fashion both during the day and evening
  • Represent the company in a professional, well presented manner at all times and in compliance with the company uniform policy
  • Deliver the Children’s And Teens Activity section of the welcome meeting to promote The Children and Teens Activity programme to all guests


  • Plan, organise & provide an engaging, inclusive and exciting range of activities for Children’s and Teens Activity programmes – lawn games, sports coaching, pool activities, bike rides, kayaking, SUP, sailing, windsurfing, white water rafting, horse riding, tennis, high ropes, football etc
  • Carry out all activities in a safe manner with regard to children’s learning and welfare needs
  • Ensure children have adequate shade, water breaks and sunscreen
  • Run evening social events for Activity Club members
  • Arrange prizes/certificates and awards for the children and Teens at the end of their week
  • Ensure children and Teens are signed in and out of your care by parent/guardian
  • Attending daily staff meeting to discuss activity plans and duties for the day
  • Ensure all children and Teens are registered including; special diet, allergies, care needs are recorded, monitored & delivered appropriately
  • Carrying out first aid and completing accident forms as necessary
  • Attend & socialise with children, Teens & guests at Welcome Meals/Theme Nights/BBQs
  • Complete health & safety and risk assessment for your designated childcare facilities and activities
  • Carrying out monthly stock takes, weekly deep clean of activity equipment & childcare facilities
  • Train, develop and remotely manage a small team of Activity Leaders. Motivating and providing pastoral care throughout the season.

  • External: Suppliers, Property owners, Activity Centre and Facilities Staff
