Details
Trekking to Everest Base Camp is the highlight of this trip but there are plenty of other memorable moments to encounter along the way. You will visit Buddhist monasteries, visit Sherpa villages, cross rivers and take the time to chill out in the peace and beauty of the Himalayas.
This trek will take your breath away and is an experience like no other. It is graded as ‘moderate to strenuous’, and is the most challenging trek we offer, so trekkers will have to have a good level of fitness. You will have 14 days of actual trekking, reaching altitudes of 5,550m.
Description
Your experience will start by exploring the vibrant streets of Kathmandu, you will then fly to Lukla to begin the 14 day trek up to Kalapahar and the Everest Base Camp. Travelling through lush forest, you will head up the Dudh Kosi river valley and the Khumbu valley, eventually arriving at the Khumbu glacier.
Those up for even more of a challenge will be given the option to continue on from Everest Base Camp to Pumori ridge where the views are spectacular. You will spend two nights at the Base Camp and then start your descent back through the valleys towards Lukla.
If you are looking for a great outdoor adventure, it doesn’t get better than the Everest trek. The views of the legendary Himalayas, unspoilt villages and beautiful forests are truly unforgettable.
