Our Chalet Manager roles provide a great opportunity for experienced Chalet Hosts with some management experience, looking for progression within the industry, whilst still having the opportunity to get out on the mountain up to 6 days a week!
Our Chalet Managers take a hands-on role combining management with chalet hosting. With overall responsibility for the day-to-day activities of The Alpine Generation within their designated property, with the support of the Resort/Area Manager, the Chalet Manager will be required to deliver the highest standard of customer service and effectively manage the hosting team. In return our Managers are rewarded with a competitive salary and additional benefits (discussed at interview).
Duties are varied, but you can expect it to include:
Managing, motivating and supporting your chalet host team to achieve high performance standards
Ensuring the quality of catering and cleaning standards
Arranging chalet hosting rotas to ensure your team work seamlessly and effectively
Oversee the shopping purchasing and managing stock levels to minimise waste
- Ensure that any chalet admin is completed and submitted as required
- You must be more than willing to get your hands dirty, as at least 50% of your time will be spent chalet hosting alongside your team
Our Chalet Manager roles are open to candidates with previous winter season experience in a catered chalet environment.
La Plagne: This role involves the management of a large chalet property containing 6 catered guest chalet-apartments. Some previous people management experience is essential, ideally in a seasonal or hospitality environment.
Morzine: This role is smaller scale and ideal for a Chalet Host looking for their first step into management. You will be responsible for a small team of 3, with support from the Resort Manager.
Who are we looking for?
We require our Chalet Managers to be confident leaders who can keep cool under pressure whilst maintaining a consistently positive outlook. It is essential to be a confident and capable cook, along with being highly organised, efficient, and able to motivate a team to maintain high standards outlined during training. You should be confident using a computer.
A good level of spoken and written French is highly beneficial.
Chalet Manager applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
