We are a small, family run company in the beautiful and picturesque resort of Megeve, France and we are looking for a great chef to cook in our Chalet/hotel Sylvana. The chalet sleeps 36 people when it is full and we serve a high standard of food so we are looking for a qualified chef who would love to run their own kitchen and use their flair and imagination to produce super food. We can supply menu plans to get you started but we love the different slants each chef brings to the job so we hope that you will make it your own! The job involves cooking breakfast (eggs, porridge and croissants), a cake for afternoon tea and a 3 course evening meal. You get a day off/week and every afternoon off to ski or board, which is lots of skiing compared to some companies. It's important to us that you get your skiing in, we love it and we assume you will too! You will be working with two chalet hosts, a manager and a barperson. We like to take good care of our staff and most of our staff remain our very good friends. Megeve itself is a lovely resort with good off-piste. It is a very French resort so outside of school hols the pistes are empty although still lots of people to hang out with in the bars!
