We are currently looking to appoint a Housekeeping Team Leader at three of our centre's across the UK.

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the Housekeeping team throughout the year. In this role a flexible and ‘hands on’ approach is expected. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who seeks challenge in their day-to-day duties with responsibility for the smooth running of Bawdsey Manor’s Housekeeping department.

Key responsibilities include:

  •  Ensuring day-to-day housekeeping is effective and PGL standards are met; 
  • Overseeing daily room servicing and complex cleaning; 
  •  Overseeing changeover days, including the utilisation of AIGLs and agency staff; 
  •  Team communication and feedback; 
  •  Staffing and resource planning, including training/observations and reviews;
  •  Managing both the department’s stock and resources, including, linen count, collections and deliveries;
  •  Liaising with contractors; 
  •  Undertaking additional senior responsibilities as required. 

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate must be able to provide clear direction and motivation to a team of Housekeeping Assistants and be capable of delivering excellent customer service with a proven commitment to delivering PGL standards. This role requires a hands on approach as well as an ability to fulfil some administrative duties.
