The Aeolian Village in Lesvos is a very popular resort with lots of staff wanting to return there every year. This is due to the chilled atmosphere around the resort and also the local town. There is an incredible bar called Georges in the local town which is a favourite with all staff, here you can eat, drink and use the wifi, no matter what day you have off or what time it is, you can always guarantee that someone will be in there. It is an incredibly sociable resort, with lots of lovely places to go to eat and drink which offer Neilson staff exclusive discounts. Parasol the cocktail bar being by far the best. There is a nightclub in the local town that is a favourite with all the staff on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The island is a place full of random animals, flamingos, turtles, cats and goats. There is a dog sanctuary in the local village that lots of staff and guests like to visit to walk the dogs – some even adopt them and take them home! Every year there is a two-week annual lesbian festival that brings lots of tourists to the island.
If you are keen to do water sports the beach is one off the best beaches that Neilson have, one of the reasons being that it is a pure sand beach and the wind is always consistent. You can use all the equipment for free on your time off. Throughout peak season there is a floating aqua fun park about an hour away by car that you can hire for 40 euros.
