Snowcoach is an independent family run company established in 1978, operating two hotels in the French Alps offering friendly, good value skiing/snowboarding holidays. We have many returning clients, year on year, which we think says a lot about our holidays and, most importantly, our staff!

We are looking for candidates with a wide breadth of skills wishing to experience mountain life, who are not afraid of hard work and have the commitment to exceed client expectations, as well as having a sense of fun.

Duties (Reports to Hotel Manager) :

  • Responsible for repairs and maintenance of the property.
  • Respond to client repair requests in an efficient and timely manner.
  • General painting and decorating/making good in the hotel and externally.
  • Fixing/making good of doors/handles/locks/furniture.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and good working order of hotel leisure facilities i.e. hot tub and steam room.
  • Lighting open fire.
  • Unblocking drains and toilets.
  • Drive clients by minibus to the airport, train station or other inter-resort locations in addition to other driving as required (cash and carry, council refuse).
  • Ensure that the company vehicles are regularly maintained and cleaned.
  • Complete vehicle and mileage records to be sent to Head Office.
  • Responsible for the compliance of all legal health and safety policies in relation to vehicles and hotel leisure facilities, equipment and fittings.
  • Snow clearing – maintaining clear paths and ensuring there is no danger of falling ice and snow from the roof.
  • Work well within the team and support other hotel operations where required (including driving).

What we are looking for:

  • Possession of an EU or UK passport. (For UK nationals working in France we now have to obtain a work permit on your behalf and a visa, unless you have a Carte de Sejour.  All staff will be on a French contract.)
  • Must be fully vaccinated (with proof).
  • Excellent DIY skills with experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and time-management skills.
  • Must be able to cope in a pressured working environment with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Full clean UK/EU driving licence and experience of driving in mountain/snowy conditions is desirable.
  • French language skills would be beneficial for this position.
