Course Details



THE chalet host course is based in the French Alps where we run our courses from a traditional chalet to enable you to get a feel for the ‘real thing’ and cook at altitude – completely different to cooking at home in the UK! Our unique courses are designed to give you first hand practical experience and a real insight into what will happen during your ski season.

With over thirty years’ experience in the industry, our tutors have worked not only as Chalet Hosts but also in Senior Management and Training – so we know what prospective employers are looking for in their seasonal staff and how to get you there! As well as turning you into gourmet chefs, we also cover menu planning, CV writing guidance, housekeeping, chalet shopping, budgeting, food safety and hygiene (Level 2 Certification), chalet & hot tub maintenance and most importantly the WOW! Factor.

Finally and most importantly, we organise interviews with several reputable tour operators who will be in attendance during your week long course – our recruiters have had a 100% success rate filling their positions with our students since we started running the courses 7 years ago (under the Skiweekends banner).

Course dates for 2018 as follows:-

Course 1 - 8th - 15th September

Course 2 - 15th - 22nd September

Course 3 – 22nd – 29th September

Course 4 - 29th September - 6th October

Prices for all courses are £549 per person for share and save (sharing an en suite room with up to 2 other students) or £649 per person on sole occupancy. Please note prices do not include flights and transfers. We can arrange shared transfers from Geneva at a cost from £60 return per person or private transfers from £300 return per person. Shared transfers leave Geneva at around 16:00 on arrival day and arrive back at Geneva around 13:30 on departure day. To confirm your place we require £100 deposit, the balance is to be paid six weeks prior to departure.
