Equity are recruiting for the exciting and rarely available Alpine role of Bar and Terrace Manager in one of our large public bars within our Club hotels. The job involves managing the bar and busy lunchtime terrace restaurant on a day-to-day basis and supporting the Hotel Manager in the smooth running of the hotel. The ideal candidate will enjoy training and motivating a young team, have a strong motivation to hit achievable targets and a real desire to find new ways of bringing in trade to the bar. Within our operation, a lead by example attitude is essential with flexibility, a strong eye for detail and experience of dealing with financial reports other key attributes. Above all else though, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that has the huge added bonus of being out in the Alps.
You will ensure the terrace provides efficient service and a friendly atmosphere for both in-house guests and passing trade. You will deliver thorough training to your team to ensure courteous, efficient and consistent service to all guests and build good working relationships and an organised system between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. In addition, you will carry out duty manager shifts, prepare staff rotas, and ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to.

Essential- Experience of running a restaurant, pub, or similar hospitality operation, experience of managing and training a team, ability to hit targets.
Desirable – Food Hygiene certificate, industry qualifications, love of the mountains, excellent French language skills.
