For the 2020/21 season we are looking for a Ski Technician/Host
Ideally you will be an experienced ski tech and have worked as such. You may also have taken, or keen to take a ski tech qualification and have a good knowledge of skis and specially touring skis and skins. Ideally you will be an experienced skier who is very into ski equipment. If the latter, then we can advise you and recommend courses
At the Auberge we have a stock of 250 sets of skis and rent to anyone staying in any of our properties. You will need to have a driver’s licence, be an experienced (and fanatical) skier. Along with being the ski tech you will also be part of the snow clearing team and will be involved in client transport and bar tending and cleaning.
You shold have a driving licence and competant to drive a 8 seated vehicle.

Our main chalet and base, The Auberge sur la Montagne, an 8-bedroom boutique chalet-hotel in the small hamlet of La Thuile, in the French Alps. We are a 4-minute drive from the ski resort of Sainte Foy Tarentaise, 12 minutes from our chalets in Brévières and 15 minutes from Val d’Isère, Tignes and Villaroger/Les Arcs.
ALL AT SKI, has portfolio of 14 catered and self-catering apartments and chalets in and around Ste Foy Tarentaise, and Tignes.
Our clients are primarily English or French speakers and internally we work in English. For the coming ski season, we will employ a team of fourteen. All will be lodged in well- presented comfortable accommodation in and around Ste Foy.
You should be self-motivated and able and willing to work as hard as necessary to ensure that the skis are property collected, serviced and ready for the clients, and that the guests’ needs are fully met. You should be friendly and outgoing and be able to talk skiing and equipment with the guests.
You should be practical, organised, have plenty of common sense and enjoy dealing with people.
You should be, first and foremost, a team player; helping others as needed to ensure that the organisation runs smoothly and guests’ needs are fully met. You should be friendly and outgoing. One of the strengths of our company is its personal service and attention to detail. We expect our staff to put themselves out to ensure that guests have a wonderful stay.
You should take a pride in all of your work and you should dress and act as an ambassador for the company at all times.
Ideally you should have a love for the mountains and be a keen skier/boarder.
Fluent English is essential. A good level of French would be a major advantage. A valid working visa for France is essential if you are not an EC passport holder.
The jobs will start in December 2020 and finish during April or early May 2021.
