All Powder Byrne adult guests are offered an exclusive, personalised ski guiding service. As a Ski Host you will be responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable ski guiding day for all levels of skiers (on piste only). This role is key to providing the excellent service that we are renowned for. It is an extremely rewarding role, a great opportunity to ski whilst gaining valuable work experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ski guiding groups of adults
  • Booking mountain restaurants and liaising with Powder Byrne’s local suppliers
  • Providing excellent local knowledge of the ski area, weather / snow conditions and the resort (including restaurants)
  • Assisting the team with Children’s Club sign-in’s at hotel boot rooms
  • Evening client visits providing daily feedback
  • Assisting with ski hire / transfer day
  • Airport transfers (if required)

Requirements:

  • Strong ski ability (min 20 weeks) confident on all runs
  • Relevant resort experience
  • Full Clean Driving licence (desirable)
  • 21 years or above 
  • Adaptable resourceful, patient and diplomatic
  • Professional and positive attitude
  • Excellent guest relations and customer service skills
  • Strong Team player
  • Good organisation skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Good understanding of the safety issues involved with skiing and supervising children
  • Languages: German (desirable)
  • UK or EU Passport
  • Appropriate number of Schengen Area (EU) travel allocation days to complete contracted dates (UK passport holders can only travel to the area for 90 days in every 180 days)

Dates

  • Winter season peak weeks (Christmas / New Year, February Half Term, Easter)
