VENUE HOLIDAYS LIMITED – Operations Assistant

Venue Holidays, an independent European Camping Holidays Tour Operator based in the UK, are currently looking for a full time Operations Assistant to join our team based in Ashford, Kent. This would be an all year round position and would also include regular overseas visits to our resorts in Italy, France and Spain during the summer season.

We offer a competitive salary based on the applicants experience and all training is provided.

Any language skills in Italian, French or Spanish would be an advantage.

Job Description

Overseas experience in the European Camping Tour Operator sector essential.Full training provided however experience in the areas below extremely desirableReporting directly to the Operations Manager, Commercial Manager and Company Directors.

Operations

• Telephone support of overseas staff and management • Assisting the Operations manager with important overseas communications • Problem solving and reporting • Production of the weekly booking lists to be sent to campsites, inclusive of special requests, amendments, and cancellations • Receipt and processing of weekly reports from campsites, then acting on this information • Placing of the weekly gas order • Placing of the weekly linen order • Passing of relevant information to managers and customer service • Overseas visits - For quality control checks, To assist with Montage and Demontage, To cover staff absences, To distribute vehicles and equipment.

Human Resources

• Checking and acting upon incoming job applications • Interviewing potential applicants • Making job offers and processing relevant staff information • Communicating with overseas payroll departments • Processing staff contracts and other documentation • Checking of overseas staff hours from timesheets

Logistics

• Logistical organisation including efficient control of human resources at montage, demontage and the seasonal movements of overseas managers • Control over vehicle hire • Responsibility for ordering equipment and ensuring effective delivery

Reservations

• Taking customer calls • Responding to customer email • Processing bookings received from Agents • Inputting customer information • Processing of special requests and amendments

Other duties as required.
