Equity have a vacancy for a Head Chef, Sous Chef and a Commis Chef in our stunning Alpine Hotels, France.
We are recruiting a confident, experienced catering professional to support the Head Chef in the running of a successful kitchen operation, ensuring the highest standards of health and hygiene and training and motivating the small team by sharing enthusiasm for all things food.
With over 80 years of experience we are the UK’s leading supplier of school trips meaning that we cater for large volumes of school groups three times a day whilst at the same time offering our adult clientele delicious cuisine. We need someone who can do it all –quality and quantity. You will work from set menus to provide high quality and delicious food throughout the duration of the season.
We are looking for a candidate who has a proven track record in the following areas; health & safety, customer service, financial and commercial awareness. As well as all that you should be enthusiastic and have a passion for interacting with people!
Main Areas of responsibility:
- Ensure the highest standards of health and hygiene in the kitchen, abiding to local and European regulations
- Support the Head Chef and help train the kitchen team
- Provide good quality, healthy and varied staff meals within the budget provided
Essential – Level 1 Health and Hygiene and previous experience of chef de partie level role or above.
Desirable – Level 2 Health and Hygiene (Intermediate), working knowledge of French.
