YHA Grinton Lodge is situated on the southern slopes of Swaledale, We are surrounded by stunning scenery and exceptional views of the Yorkshire Dales, and just a 10-minute walk from the village of Grinton. We are looking for 2 x Team Members to work our 2024 season as all round team members and help out with activities.
Our hostel offers an entirely distinctive workplace, far from the ordinary office setting. At YHA Grinton Lodge we believe in valuing our team members and ensuring they have access to great perks:
- Competitive hourly rate: We offer a pay of £10.42 per hour – this will be reviewed in line with National Living Wage 2024 (this role is fixed/flexible, 25+ hours per week, temporary contract)

The Role: A Seasonal Journey Awaits
As a Seasonal Team Member your contributions are key to delivering outstanding service. You'll find yourself in a role that is central to creating memorable experiences for all, regardless of your background or experience.
Your Responsibilities
- Sharing Local Insights: Working on reception and offering insights about the hostel and the local area, ensuring everyone feels informed and at home.
- Leveraging Technology: Utilising our systems for efficient guest check-ins and check-outs.
- Creating a Welcoming Space: Carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a comfortable and inviting environment.
- Culinary Delights: Assisting in the preparation of food in the kitchen and serving food and drinks with warmth and hospitality, while engaging in authentic, inclusive conversations. Suggesting enjoying dinner with us or offering a beverage or dessert as you assist with table service, ensuring a diverse and welcoming experience for all guests.
