Saint-Brevin-les-Pins is a quiet area with two town centres; one on the coast and one inland, both of which are easily accessible by bike (15-20 minutes). There are bike paths that go along the coast. The beach is a two minute walk from the campsite and even in busy periods you can always find a quiet spot as it is huge. The campsite itself is in the middle of a forest. It’s a great campsite to come to if you are looking to improve your language skills as the majority of the clients are French. However, every year there are some British entertainers. One of the best things about this site are the members of staff as they are all so welcoming and helpful; if you do not have previous receptionist experience you do not need to worry as you will pick it up very quickly. All the receptionists that I worked with were happy to answer my questions and help me when I was struggling with something. As part of the job you will be taught to use various computer programmes that may seem complex at first but when you know what you are doing they pose no issues at all. The every-day tasks typically involve making the welcome packs for the arrivals, inputting the reservations into the computer and dealing with clients’ questions and problems. Overall I had such a great time and I hope to return one day to work another season!
