The fact that arguably one of the all time best Bond films Octopussy had scenes filmed here in Corfu already helps it to gain at least 9/10 points for awesomeness.
The hotel itself one of the best if not THE best on the island with 5 a la carte restaurants, friendly staff, on-site accommodation, 3 swimming pools, a water park and constant improvements mean it’s just getting better and better.
Corfu; the gem of the Ionian sea is set cascading down one of Corfu’s many beautiful mountains on the east coast of the island. Marbella has a panoramic view of the ocean with a glimpse of the Greek mainland in the distance. Marbella is located in Agios Ioannis is squeezed between two popular villages called Benitses and Moraitika.
Benitses; a traditional small fishing village set right on the coast with a marina and sunbathing area (including water sports) has an array of tavernas and bars and includes possibly the best Chinese restaurant on the island.
Moraitka; whether it’s a big night out with Elvis, the best gyros in Greece, a paragliding session or a spot of shopping this village has all you could ever need.
For when you are all ‘elvised’ out and want to travel further afield you can try some culture and castles in Corfu town, cocktails and swimming in Paleokastritsa or road trips to some more British influenced parts of the island like Siadri or Kavos.
